Real court overturns ruling by "thought police" against Protestant pastor

This certainly good news!  Protestant pastor Stephen Boisson had been convicted of hateful speech by the Alberta Human Rights Commission and forced to pay $7,000 and keep his mouth shut.  His "crime"?  Speaking out boldly against the homosexual lifestyle.

Mr. Boisson appealed to a real court -- you know, where things like truth and evidence are actually taken into account -- which overturned the ruling and vindicated Boisson.

Read a great summary at Freedom Through Truth, which is run by Michael Brandon.  Michael is probably Canada's foremost Catholic expert on the abuses committed by these kangaroo kourts.

  1. Thank you Steve for your kind, but I think inaccurate words as to my expertise.

Though I have devoted much time and writing to cases, particularly those that are against Christians, I feel more like a deck hand on the Titanic, whose job it was to ensure that the deck chairs were back in their proper places, and scurries to and fro as the ship lists prior to sinking.

However, I appreciate the sentiment, and thank you for linking to one of my over 80 postings that refer to the case of Stephen Boissoin.

This morning I wrote the following post where I tried to comprehend the position that we as Christians are called to take with our beloved brothers and sisters who are in a homosexual life, while practicing our Catholic and Christian faith. We really must learn from these cases not to be afraid, but to stand firm to our principles in deep love and compassion.
